It doesn't get much sweeter than a week old tiny baby girl...

...Oh wait! Yes, it does. A week old tiny baby girl and her big brother!

Grant's 10 Month Photos

Another month older... Grant will be a year old before I know it. I get all sentimental when I think about him growing up. He's such a great little dude.

For this month's photos his mom and I took Grant to the park near their house. He loved everything except the sand. He was definitely not okay with it.

Jeff and Brandon

Another set of Christmas card photos... This is really getting me in the holiday spirit. Last night I finally got to put up our Christmas tree. I've been begging Matt to let me put it up since the week before Halloween.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and is having a safe and bargain filled Black Friday. I'm going to be at home working on photos all day. I'm a little behind on some sessions and I want to get everything out this weekend so people can get a head start on their Christmas cards...

...Such as Jeff and Brandon (and Takara) here. J & B are really close friends of mine. I've known them for years and they're practically family at this point. Jeff is a huge supporter of my business. A lot of people at his work follow my blog and have become clients of mine over the fall because of all the pimping of me he does around his office. I'm forever in debt to the kind things he says about me and my work. Love you guys!

Emma, Sarah and BJ's Holiday Family Photos

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. Thursday marks the official Christmas decorating day in my house. It reminds me of being a kid... Pulling the boxes out of the laundry room, sorting through everything, watching Poltergeist... What? Your childhood Christmas decorating memories don't include watching Poltergeist?

What I'm especially excited about this year is sharing in other family's holidays too! I took some family Christmas photos for Emma, Sarah and BJ. It was really great to meet them and spend some time with their family. I'm working with them again in December, something I'm really excited about!

Quinn!

I'm very excited to share these pictures. But I can't exactly take credit for how cute the batch turned out. Quinn brought the cuteness, I just photographed it. It was one of those sessions where if I could share every single picture with you, I would.

Little Bit of Housekeeping...

Hey there blog readers!

Did you know you can be my fan on Facebook? It's true! Just click that little link in the right hand bar over there!

Also, I am going to be changing my pricing and packages around a little bit starting on December 1st. Any session booked prior to December 1st will be honored at the current price. 2009 has been a huge learning experience for me. I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me this year. I owe a lot to my family, friends and clients for promoting me and taking part in my business. All of my business has come from word-of-mouth, so I'm truly honored by all the amazing things you guys are saying out there.

I really want to push next year to become a new name in the Omaha photography scene. To accomplish that, I need to make some adjustments to the way I conduct business. That includes my packages and pricing structure. But don't worry, I am still committed to producing top quality work at an affordable price. The changes coming are going to be good for everyone!

Deb and Mike's Wedding

I played a lot of catch-up this week! Even though the huge fall rush is mostly over, there's still lots of work to be done. Sitting in my to-do list this week was Deb and Mike's wedding. Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous! There was color, color, color everywhere.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Mike and Jen's Christmas Photos

My good friends, Mike and Jen, wanted a few pictures taken for their Christmas cards. The day we scheduled ended up being beautiful. We met at what I thought was a top-secret place for pictures - the OPPD arboretum. Not so much. There were at least ten other photographers in the park. It was kind of ridiculous. It was a great place though.

One of the great things about Mike and Jen is that they are not serious people. At all. They really didn't want any posed pictures, which is right up my alley. I'm not exactly great at giving a whole lot of direction. Most of my directions include gems such as:

"Act natural."
"It doesn't matter."
"Ummmmm....."

I prefer to catch things as they happen rather than force them to happen. Sometimes, I think it makes clients a little nervous. But I promise that if you trust me, and just have fun, you'll get great pictures. Such as this next one:

This is Mike and Jen to a T.

It's also their Christmas card this year. :)

Justine and Corey's Engagement Pictures

I'm a little bit behind in blog posts! I owe Justine and Corey a peek of their engagement pictures...

If anyone is waiting on me for their engagement/couples photos - Thank you for your patience and I'm hoping to have all of them out this week. :)

Rachel and Kyle's Wedding

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Rachel and Kyle's wedding. I'm amazed at how different all the weddings are that I've shot so far. Each one was really unique and felt true to the couple getting married.

Congratulations Rachel and Kyle!

Kobe, Katie and Pudge

I'm taking a little break from all the engagement, families and wedding photos (not that I don't love them) to share some pet photos I took recently. I went over to Lorraine's and photographed her beautiful dogs and cat.

This is Kobe with the blue eyes.

And Katie with the brown eyes.

She's a howler. Doesn't she look so soft in this picture? I want to bury my face in the scruff around her neck. That's probably my favorite part of a big furry dog - its mane.

Then, we went and found Putty Pudge. The cat actually came running when Lorraine called her. I've never seen a cat do that before.

Just to give you an idea of how big this cat is, here she is sitting next to the coffee table.

Thanks, Lorraine for having me over!
