Free Canvas Offer with Wedding Packages! - Omaha Wedding Photographer

I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful holiday weekend! I'm enjoying some down time in the next couple of days to catch up on a ton of May sessions. This month was beyond amazing. I was so scared when I quit my job last year but I haven't regretted it for a second. You guys keep be busy and fulfill my heart and soul with your beautiful selves. :)

Looking ahead at 2013, I can only imagine how great this will all be in another year. I want to extend an offer to anyone looking for wedding photography: If you book a 2013 wedding* between now and the end of June, I'll add a FREE 16x20 wedding canvas into your package. I'll be posting this on Facebook too, so pass along the link if you know anyone who would like to get in on some free wedding photo goodies.

(*bookings must have a contract signed and deposit placed by June 31, 2012 for weddings taking place in 2013)

Now go have a fun Memorial Day!

Piper and Rob: OMA to LGA - Omaha Wedding Photographer

Piper and Rob are planning an Omaha wedding but currently live in Brooklyn. They suggested doing their engagement photos in New York City since their busy work schedules make it hard to plan trips back here to Nebraska. I'm not an idiot, so I said yes.

It was my first trip to NYC, my first time shooting professionally outside the Midwest... It was amazing. It's so easy to fall into a routine with shoots when I'm working in the same parks, neighborhoods and spots all the time. To be brought to a place I'd never seen before and be essentially let loose to do whatever I wanted was a dream come true. It also helped that I was with two of the most easy-going and fun people I've had the pleasure of working with so far.

Heather and Brandon - Omaha Wedding Photographer

Sometimes you have to weather the storm. Literally. Shoot until the sky totally clouds over and you run back to your car with your camera tucked under your jacket.

We're moving to a new studio! - Omaha Wedding Photographer

So, the big surprise is that I'm moving my business into a permanent home at the Mastercraft in North Downtown Omaha. The Mastercraft is an old industrial building that was recently converted into studios and offices for creative businesses. The inside of the studio is going to be - in a word - amazing. There will be a flood of natural light through the whole space, beautiful floors, refinished and exposed wood ceilings, and much more. Right now, the drywall is in the process of going up. I can't wait to share more photos as the space progresses. There will also be some other announcements associated with the space. It's hard to explain without giving up too much information, but this isn't just a new spce for me. It's also the beginning of a new creative venture that I'm participating in with a couple other very talented photographers. To say I'm excited about this, both for myself and my clients, is an understatement!
