Katie and Kyle - Omaha Engagement Photography

Katie and Kyle are camp counselors and they asked me to come out to their camp to do their engagement photos. I was sold at that, but then they decided to go hiking and canoeing and build a fire. And they fed me a smore. I feel like I should cash out my chips and walk away because I don't know what gets better than this. I am so in love with these batch of pictures. There is such an unbelievable outpouring of emotion in these photos.

This engagement sessions also marks the first time I've ever shot photos from a paddleboat.

Dylan's One Year Photos - Omaha Family Photographer

Hey, guess whose not behind on weddings anymore!? ME!

So what if I'm bragging about doing my job adequately.

I took Dylan's six month photos last winter. I remember looking at six month old Dylan compared to six weekk old Lennon and Dylan looked so big. Now he's a year old and he still looks big. This time around he moved a lot more. There was chasing, ball throwing, camera grabbing. It's tough when these rolly-polly babies turn into kids. It's so much more work for me...

Oh, Wedding Season...

As of right now, I am a week behind on editing weddings. It's not awesome, but it's not too bad for smack dab in the middle of Wedding Mayhem 2011. I'm just finishing up Missy and Tony here. Blogging has become a nonexistent priority recently so I at least wanted to post one photo in case I don't post anything again until November.

Amber and Jeremy's Engagements - Omaha Engagement Photographer

Amber, Jeremy and I met at 8:00 in the morning. I think it was maybe 90° out already. This is the way it is now. Welcome to Summer. Your photoshoots/weddings will be hot. There will be sweating. You'll wonder if it's really worth all this for pictures outside. Yes, of course it's worth it. What's a little dehydration in exchange for awesome photos?

Amber and Jeremy are getting married later this year at a glass chapel in Iowa. I've only seen pictures of this mythical glass chapel, but it looks totally unbelievably insanely gorgeous. That's a lot of adjectives. You know I mean it. Judging by how awesome they were for their engagement photos, their wedding is going to be great. I always tell people not to be afraid to move in front of the camera. Seriously, don't be afraid! Move! I rely a lot on the interaction between my couples. Your connection is what I'm photographing and I want, nay need, you to show me that connection. These two really got it and there were so many funny and sweet photographs. I actually laughed when I was looking through them. They really made all the sweat and waking up early and dragging of sofas worth it!
