The Day Jaycee Met Her Family

Can I say that this was not only a huge honor to photograph, but it was also so important to me to get a chance to do something like this. Getting to retell stories like this one is where my passion truly lies. Important days are what life is all about and what can be more important than this?

The W Family - Omaha Family Photographer

The bulk of my 2012 weddings start tonight so I'm enjoying one last non-busy day until November. I know that sounds like a complaint but it's really very exciting. This is my first year where I'll be shooting without a day job. Last year I about dropped dead mid June. It was insane. Between my two jobs, I was working 60-80 hours a week... with a baby at home. I was overwhelmed to say the least. Knowing that this year is going to be much easier is a huge relief and a huge thrill! A mellow photographer is always a better photographer. :)

Here's a peek back at one of the recent family sessions that happened at the studio...

Kyler - 6 Month Photos - Omaha Family Photographer

I had too many favorites of Kyler not to post a few. I am very, incredibly, unapologetically impartial to the boys these days. Girls get to be dressed up in pretty clothes and cute bows and sit in front of gorgeous backdrops. But the boys? Strip them down to their diapers and let them roll around on a rug. As a mother of a little boy, I can tell you that there's nothing better in his world than being in his birthday suit.

Eliza's 6 Month Photos

Here is Eliza again! I took her newborn photos over the summer. It's always great getting to catch up with families over the months and years.
